Walhampton gives children the space, support, and encouragement to explore their passions. We are determined to develop and nurture each child into a confident young person, instilling our values of Kindness, Curiosity and Achievement. Our unique location in 100 acres of woodland on the edge of the New Forest and The Solent means that we can offer a broad and balanced education that takes our learning beyond the classroom; into our kitchen garden, fields, lakes and woodland to bring subjects such as maths, English, science and history to life. We follow the Pre-Senior Baccalaureate (PSB), an assessment model that has at is heart the development of the values, skills, attitudes and behaviours required for children to flourish in an ever-changing world.
Prep School children have access to many outdoor learning activities such as bushcraft, kayaking and sailing as well as horse riding lessons at our dedicated equestrian centre. Sport is a huge part of Walhampton and alongside our sports for all ethos, pathway and academy opportunities ensure pupils can develop and excel. Pupils achieve 100% success in entry to their first-choice senior school and in recent years up to 40% are typically awarded onward scholarships. Full boarding is available from Year 3 with any families also utilising the flexible boarding model. CEA and armed forces discounts are available as well as visa sponsorship if required.
